What we repair
Most solar problems fall into a handful of categories, and almost all of them are fixable.
Inverter and microinverter failure. Inverters are the hardest-working component in your system and the most common point of failure. A dead string inverter takes your whole system down. A failed microinverter quietly takes one panel offline, which is easy to miss without monitoring.
Sudden production drops. If your power bill jumped or your app shows less output than last year, something changed. It could be a failed component, a tripped breaker, shading from grown-in trees, soiling, or a wiring fault.
Systems that are completely offline. No production at all usually points to an inverter, a breaker or disconnect, or a grid-connection issue. This takes a detailed diagnostic visit to pinpoint the exact issue.
Monitoring that stopped reporting. Sometimes the system is fine and only the communications died. Either way you are flying blind until it is fixed, which is how small problems become expensive ones.
Wiring, connector, and conduit issues. Corroded or loose connections, damaged conduit, and failing rapid-shutdown devices are common on older installs and on jobs that were rushed. Wires dragging on roofs or exposed to direct sunlight are an issue waiting to happen.
Physical and weather damage. Cracked or delaminated panels, storm and wind damage, and hail impacts, all can cause decreased performance or complete failure.
Pest and rodent damage. Squirrels and birds nesting under panels chew wiring more often than people expect around here. Critter guard installed around the array perimeter is a cheap fix compared to what the damage costs.
Roof leaks around mounts. Improperly flashed penetrations from a sloppy install can cause significant and expense damage. As a licensed expert who work on roofs daily, we can identify the source and coordinate the repair.
Panel removal and reinstall for roof work. If you need a new roof, panels have to come off and go back on correctly.
We take on systems other companies installed
This is worth stating plainly, because most homeowners assume they are stuck with whoever sold them the system.
You are not. We service and repair solar regardless of who installed it, what brand is on your roof, or whether the original company still exists. Over 100 solar companies have gone bankrupt or shut down in recent years, which has left a lot of Southern Oregon homeowners holding equipment with nobody to call. Here is the part most people do not realize: your manufacturer warranties typically survive your installer’s collapse. Panel and inverter coverage comes from the manufacturer, not the installer, and much of it runs 25 years. What died was your workmanship warranty and your service relationship. We can pick up the second one and help you claim the first.
What a system health check includes
If you are not sure what is wrong, or you inherited a system with a house you bought, start here. A health check covers:

Production analysis comparing actual output against what your system should be making

A written summary of what is wrong, what is under warranty, and what repairs will cost
That equipment inventory matters more than it sounds. If your installer vanished, you may not have a record of what is actually on your roof, and you need that documentation to file a manufacturer claim.

Manufacturers generally require a qualified installer to diagnose the fault and perform the replacement. That is the wall most homeowners hit when they try to file on their own.
We handle that side for you: identifying your equipment, confirming what coverage is still active, documenting the failure the way the manufacturer requires, and doing the replacement work. When a part is covered, you should not be paying for it, and we will tell you honestly when that is the case.

Common questions
Do you really service systems you did not install? Yes. It is a core part of what we do, and a large share of our service calls are systems installed by companies that are no longer around.
My installer went out of business. Is my warranty gone? Probably not. Your equipment warranties come from the manufacturers and typically survive. Your workmanship warranty from the installer is what is lost. We can sort out which is which during a health check.
What brands do you work on? All the major ones, including Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, REC, Qcells, Maxeon, FranklinWH, and others.
How much does a solar repair cost? It depends entirely on the fault. A tripped breaker or a monitoring reset is minor. An inverter or battery replacement is significant, though often partly or fully covered by warranty depending on the brand. We diagnose first and give you a real number before doing any work.
I need a new roof. Can you remove and reinstall my panels? Yes, and it should be done by an electrical professional so the system goes back correctly and safely.

Get your system looked at
If your solar is underperforming, offline, or orphaned, the worst thing you can do is wait. Warranty clocks keep running, replacement parts for older inverters get harder to source every year, and a small fault quietly costs you production every month it goes unfixed.
