A Local Solar Company Built to Last

Concentric Solar is a locally owned solar, battery, and repair company in Talent, Oregon. We were built to do the work right, tell you the truth about cost, and answer the phone years after the install.

Why I Started Concentric Solar

I’ve spent more than ten consecutive years in solar, servicing homes and commercial projects, both in the field and running operations. Through my career, I became an operations director for a fast growing national-scale solar company. I had the opportunity to teach new individuals the solar and electrical trade and foster the growth of new managers and leaders. That came to an end in 2025, when the company went bankrupt and laid everyone off right before Christmas.

I saw it from the inside and it was heart wrenching. Good people lost their jobs, and homeowners lost the company they had trusted with their roofs. And I saw why it happened: a company built to grow as fast as possible, forgetting, along the way, that it has to take care of the people it once served.

That’s when I knew what I had to do next. Create not just another company chasing growth, but one that goes back to the roots of the solar industry: real help and real solutions, at the local level. That’s Concentric Solar.

Why Here, Why Now

I’ve called the Rogue Valley home since 2020. Having spent my solar career in Colorado, and then Idaho, before moving to Oregon, I was in the search of the blend of community, outdoors and, of course, good sunshine. The community in the Rogue Valley coupled with the outdoor opportunities are what kept me here. And with as much sunshine as we get every year, this is one of the best places in Oregon for solar.

The Rogue Valley is where I live, so it’s where my reputation lives too.

There’s never going to be the right moment, but you need to plant the seed and watch the seed grow. Yes, the residential federal tax credit is gone, interest rates are the highest they’ve been in the last 5 years, but that’s just part of the ups and downs of any industry.

Here, we call it the solar coaster. Over the last two decades, the solar industry has had its booms and busts. However, the down times is what sparks the local movement and makes tough businesses out of tough times. Companies that adapt now will make it in the long run.

This is the moment to grow, not shrink, when small local companies have a competitive edge over larger national companies.

Yes, We’re a New Company. Here’s Why That Works in Your Favor.

I’ll be upfront: Concentric Solar is young. My experience isn’t.

  • I’ve done this work for over a decade, from rooftop installs to directing operations on projects across the country.

  • I’ve seen from the inside why big solar companies fail, and I built this one the opposite way. No call center, no commissioned sales team, no expensive marketing machine to feed. Lean overhead, honest work, and fair prices.

  • We’ve already finished projects other companies abandoned, and our customers say so in their own words. More than 100 solar companies have closed in recent years, and their customers still need someone to call.

What that means for you: experienced hands on your project, a fair price, and a local company built to still be here.

What You Can Count On When You Work With Us

I’m on every job. I do the initial design, I oversee the work, and I’m there in person for installs and service calls. You won’t be handed off to a stranger after you sign.

Straight numbers, in writing. Every cost and every contract term, in plain language, before you sign. No hidden dealer fees, no pressure to decide on the spot.

We’ll tell you when it doesn’t make sense. If solar won’t pay off at your house, or a generator is a better fit than a battery, we’ll say so. That’s also why your second opinion on another company’s quote is free.

We finish what we start, and what others started. Abandoned installs, orphaned systems, half-finished DIY projects. We’ll take them on.

Safety first, then quality. Every system installed to code and backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty, with up to 25-year warranties on major equipment.

We stay. Based in Talent and serving Southern Oregon. When you call, someone local answers.

Why “Concentric”?

Concentric means sharing a common center.

Solar and battery backup are two different technologies, but they share the same center: helping people and businesses find an energy solution that makes their lives better. Solar cuts what you pay for power. A battery keeps the power on when the grid can’t. Together, they give you control.

That common center is what every system we design is built around.
